I was riding east on the bike lane on Gerrard about to turn right onto the bike lane on Sherbourne... actually I should say I was following the Bikeway Network Route 12 and then I was about to turn on to Route 39 as indicated by the new bike route signs that have been errected last week.

The signs are going up as part of a pilot project to evaluate new signs that will be eventually used for the entire Bikeway Network in all of Toronto. The purpose of the pilot project is to have cyclists evaluate the signs and make suggestions for changes before the sign design is finalized. The City of Toronto is looking for your feedback. An article in the July 2003 cyclometer gives details on how you can get involved. Bikeway Network Signage Pilot Project.
