City of Toronto Staff in the Cycling and Pedestrian Infrastructure Unit are working on the 2004 edition of the Toronto Cycling Map. One objective outlined in the Toronto Bike Plan is to publish cycling maps as part of an improved Bikeway Network Information System. The Cycling Map is to be updated annually so it can include new routes as they are added to the Bikeway Network and as new cycling programs are implemented as part of the Bike Plan.

Toronto Cycling Map Cover 2003The 2003 Edition of the Toronto Bike Map was the first one designed to address this new objective, but as with any first edition some revisions are necessary. Staff and members of the Toronto Cycling Committee have identified incorrect street names, as well as some one way streets and short paths that need to be indicated. These corrections form the basis for next year's revised map, to be published early in the new year.

David Tomlinson of the City of Toronto is now seeking further input from Toronto cyclists regarding any errors they have found in the 2003 map and ways to improve the map. If you have some comments on the 2003 map or other suggestions for the 2004 map, send them to David Tomlinson. You can phone him at 416-392-8400. Faxes can be sent to his attention at 416-392-4808. You can also send e-mail to David_Tomlinson@toronto•ca. If you don't have a copy of the 2003 map, you can see it online: Toronto Cycling Map 2003. David needs to receive your feedback before Christmas.
