TCC Meeting, January 21, 2002

The next meeting of the Toronto Cycling Committee (TCC) will be on Monday January 21, 2002. It will be at 7:00 pm at the following location.

Some of the issues that will be discussed at this meeting will be

•Including cycling safety information in the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario Driver Handbook. A representative of the MTO will be coming to talk about this.

•Toronto Waterfront Plan. The TCC has been trying to be involved in the planning process for the Toronto Waterfront in order to represent the many cyclists who use the area.

•The 2002 budget. We are in the midst of the budget process and we will get an update as to the status of all the cycling budget requests.

•Sharing of multi-use paths in parks by pedestrians, cyclists, and in-line skaters. A joint working group is being set up with the City of Toronto Pedestrian Committee to discuss ways to promote the amicable sharing of these paths by all user groups.

•Bike Week 2002

•2002 safety campaigns
